Welcome
Well, it's been a few months since we started working on our garden, but this weekend seemed to confirm spring's decision to stick around until summer, and I am inspired to post.
Welcome to my blog! Consider this a formal invitation to anyone who has put off growing (of any kind), especially growing a garden, to start now! It's Memorial Day weekend, and here in the Pacific Northwest the weather is perfect. So grab a shovel and a packet of seeds and get outside. I know before I had too much exposure to gardening and small farming I was intimidated by trying to grow a garden, but I promise it's simple and easy. Seeds love sunlight and water, and even the smallest patch of dirt can be converted into a growing environment. I'm looking forward to posting about my growing adventures, with hopes that with a little encouragement, more people will grow (at least some of) their own food. And if I get myself together enough, I'll get a picture up here too.
